You made it. Friday.

Long week of AI. Let’s end it strong - TWO stories from Microsoft.

And one from the commander-in-chief of the United States.

👀 Bing AI has a fresh look and new party tricks

Stuck on the waitlist for Bing’s AI? We’ve got good news.

POOF. There’s no more waitlist. Head on over to Bing.com and start prompting.

Sick of waiting for ChatGPT plugins? Well…we’ve got the cure.

Bing AI launched some sizzling new features to coincide with its official debut.

We’re talking Opentable for automatic restaurant bookings. Ask Bing for restaurant recs, and it'll book the res.

Want to watch something? Bing finds it on Apple TV and launches it for you.

Okay, so they only have two plugins so far. But more are coming.

They’ve also got some smarter answers. Videos, images, and charts now go with your answers. And yes, finally, there is a chat history.

And if you’re feeling adventurous, try it in Microsoft Edge. It has some exclusive features for that browser.

Microsoft is shouting from the rooftops: use Bing, we promise!

👀 Microsoft has AI processors coming in hot

We’re double dipping on Microsoft today. You can’t stop us.

This one guest features AMD, whose shares rose on a report they’re partnering with Microsoft on some fancy AI processors.

Why is this big? Two reasons.

One, up until now, only Amazon and Google had their own AI chips. These processors are the Birkin Bags of compute, and they ain’t cheap.

Two, and more importantly, they need to make their own chips. Running GPT-4 is EXPENSIVE. Buying computing power from Nvidia doesn’t work out if you’re at Microsoft’s scale. They can save big-time if they make their own chips.

And…that’s where AMD comes in. They’ll help with the manufacturing side.

Bullish? AMD and Microsoft. Bearish? Nvidia. But they’ll be just fine.

🚀 Biden and Harris meet with AI leaders (except you, Meta)

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have a few words for the AI CEOs.

So, the CEOs of the United States met with the CEOs of OpenAI, Anthropic, Alphabet, and Microsoft.

The focus?

Make sure AI makes our lives better without…ending all humanity.

The meeting notes?

“What you’re doing has enormous potential and enormous danger.”

That’s straight from Biden’s mouth. Kamala had a bit more nuanced take

“The private sector has an ethical, moral, and legal responsibility to ensure the safety and security of their products.”

Look, these words surprise nobody.

But let’s talk about the elephant in the room.

They didn’t invite META???

Zuckerburg must be furiously pacing in the Metaverse.

Microsoft? Sure. Alphabet? Absolutely. OpenAI? You’ve gotta. The fact Meta missed out but Anthropic got the RSVP means…Meta has some catching up to do with AI.
