🤯 OpenAI CEO wants to reverse aging

Retro Biosciences has an ambitious goal: reverse the effects of aging.

Years ago, they launched with $180mm in funding to "stall aging or reverse the effects of it."

At that time, the investors were anonymous.

Now, we know that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman bankrolled the whole thing.

While it’s not surprising that Altman is branching past just AI, investing that much money is abnormal.

He’s split his net worth between this and Helion Energy, another start up which is developing fusion energy sources.

Talk about bleeding edge.

👀 AI-focused search engine takes on Bing

The privacy-focused search engine is adding a key AI feature.

DuckDuckGo, the best alternative to Google, announced a new AI-powered feature called DuckAssist. Aside from being a great name, it's also a great feature. It takes search queries, sources the answer, and surfaces the answers as the top result.

Think Google’s summary feature for search. While Google's sources information from all webpages, DuckAssist is different. It will only use the most recent complete download of Wikipedia to answer your question. That’s always a few weeks old, so don’t expect up-to-the-minute results.

Give it a try, seriously.

DuckDuckGo has gained a ton of popularity in recent years, for good reason. A direct AI assistant might give you the results you need.

🚀 Ford takes on Tesla AI

There’s a new AI player in town for the auto industry.

Sort of.

Ever since Ford acquired Cruise, an autonomous car company with a heavy AI focus, they’ve been at the forefront of autonomous driving. Always behind Tesla, of course.

Now, they’re announcing a new subsidiary within Ford of almost 600 people called Latitude AI.

The goal?

Develop a “new automated driving technology with an initial focus on a hands-free, eyes-off driver assist system for next-generation Ford vehicles”.

Tesla AI has a huge head start, and industry-leading tech. But Ford is betting that their market share will win in the long run.
