🎧 Spotify unwraps AI DJ to serve you tunes

You absolute fool. You’ve given Spotify all your music data for YEARS.

Now, they’re using it.

How? A new AI DJ.

The DJ is your guide to the vibes - talking directly to you and recommending songs. Its home is a little button at the bottom of the Spotify UI.

It knows your taste, so it can recommend you new music or serve up that hit from 6 years ago that puts you in the feels.

If you're not feeling the mood, you can hit the DJ button again to start fresh.

The voice uses generative AI, too.

No word on whether you can customize the voice; if you can, I'm picking DJ Khaled.

This feature is seriously cool. If the recommendations are as good as we expect, it’ll be a welcome companion for listening.

👀 Impress your coworkers with Notion AI

Notion is the latest company to bring generative AI to…well, everything it does.

Today it announced Notion AI.

There are so many features it’s hard to drill down to a few.

In a nutshell. Their new AI tools boil down to supercharging anything writing or meeting-related.

Take meetings. With Notion AI, you can summarize meeting notes, create action items, or generate takeaways. All from your text.

Or say you’re suffering from writer’s block. You can tell Notion AI what you want to start writing about, and it’ll give you ideas.

You can even have it regenerate text based on tone.

A lot of people clown on Notion for being clunky and overkill, but when I see stuff like this, I get the hype.

It starts at $10 a month per person, so it ain’t exactly cheap.

If you can let it handle meetings, it might be worth every penny.

😬 Pre-revenue AI startup raised $43 million

YOU ASKED FOR IT.

AI delivered.

Powerpoint is now a dinosaur thanks to this hot AI for storytelling startup.

Tome AI is like PowerPoint: being the go-to presentation tool of big tech PMs. It also takes inspiration from Google Slides because it doesn't have any revenue.

It just raised a whopping $43 million. That puts its valuation at $300 million.

Big numbers for a product that’s pre-revenue.

Tome boasts the title of “fastest SaaS product to a million users”.

Beating stars like Dropbox and Slack.

The product is straightforward. It uses generative AI for any type of storytelling. That could be a children’s book or a 3-D prototype. It’s found the most traction as a PowerPoint killer, though.

The tech is promising. Presentations need a revamp. I don’t think there’s anyone saying “Hey, powerpoints are fine! Why should we change the most boring thing on the planet?”

9-figures pre-revenue is a bit of a head scratcher. They do have plans for a $10/mo enterprise version.

On the plus side? Those early signs of product-market fit are tantalizing. That type of growth is rare.

And you know it’s poised for hypergrowth when the high schoolers start using it to cheat.
