6️⃣👋 Midjourney V5 fixes the hands

Six-fingered AI images are OVER.

Midjourney V5 is out.

What’s new? In a word…

Realism.

Results are more photorealistic in V5. Textures, details, skin tones. Everything looks closer to real life.

Take a look.

Creators are building AI tools on top of Midjourney. It’ll get scarier with v5.

🎧 Use AI to analyze any audio

Source: Assembly AI

You probably missed this AI news.

It’s just as big as the others.

You know how ChatGPT can describe what’s in images? Assembly AI can analyze anything audio related.

They announced their new model, Conformer-1, based on Google Brain. It’s chock-full of siiiiiiiiiiick features.

Auto-transcription. Summarization. Content-detection. All table stakes.

What about auto-moderation? Important-phrase detection? Even sentiment analysis?

All available in their new model.

They have a playground, and we tried it. The results are scarily accurate.

Another huge opportunity for AI.

🤯 Microsoft Clippy AI is finally here

Source: Microsoft

Clippy has reached its final form.

The ultimate AI assistant for everything productivity-relayed.

Copilot is the name. It’s Microsoft’s new AI assistant for Windows.

To call it an assistant, though, is reductive. It’s so much more.

Before you ask, yes. It does all the standard AI stuff like summarizing meetings. It rewrites messages. It generates different layouts for your slide deck. It auto-generates notes, and creates SWOT analyses. There goes a third of the job of PMs.

The demo showed copilot generating a whole-ass product announcement based on one prompt and some notes.

But it gets better.

Activate it in Excel, and it can explain the numbers you’re seeing. Any numbers. Copilot will interpret data for you.

Those message rewrites? You can activate it in Microsoft Word. You’ll be typing, and then Copilot will offer up a better way to write a paragraph.

All the above features? You can ask Copilot to teach you how to do it, so you’re ACTUALLY LEARNING.

Microsoft got the Cortana it always wanted.

Now, time to see how people break it.
