PLUS: BingGPT gets a huge upgrade
Can we just take a second and appreciate that…
…every day in AI feels like a year?
We can barely keep up. Exciting times.

🤓 BingGPT generates a new feature

Robot Rock.
Bing AI got a massive upgrade this week.
Microsoft ships more AI features than antitrust lawsuits these days.
Good for them. Personal growth is great to see.
So. What’s the improvement?
Microsoft partnered with OpenAI (wow!) to release AI-generated images (what a surprise!) in Bing.
How does it work?
Thanks to OpenAI’s Dall-E model, you prompt Bing AI for an image of, say, a robot with a guitar. It does the AI magic, and sends you four to choose from.
Best part is it works within Bing’s chat, so you can generate an image in the middle of a conversation with BingGPT.
Bing AI has a huge lead on Bard. When Microsoft ships features like this, we’re reminded why.
👀 Nvidia is sick of shining in the AI shadows

You might not know it, but Nvidia is powering the AI revolution.
No, really.
Now, they need their prom night moment. They’re stepping into the spotlight.
With what? An AI-feature announcement, of course!
For one, it’s now leasing access to its AI supercomputers. Why buy one for $200k when you can rent one for $40k?
Big deal, you say. What can you do with all that power?
For one: Build models, like ChatGPT, using Nvidia’s software. Clearly someone was paying attention in b-school. Adobe, Getty Images, and Shutterstock are already doing it.
Finally, they launched Nvidia Picasso, an online service to build generative AI-powered apps. That includes text, photos, and video.
Like we said, Nvidia operated in the “background” of AI for years.
They’re ready to be a star.
😬 OpenAI made a huge mistake
Notice your ChatGPT history disappearing?
Even worse, did you notice someone ELSE’S history where yours should be?
Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO, took to Twitter to explain, and it’s not good.
we had a significant issue in ChatGPT due to a bug in an open source library, for which a fix has now been released and we have just finished validating.
a small percentage of users were able to see the titles of other users’ conversation history.
we feel awful about this.

Admitting fault is one thing, and it’s understandable.
The odd thing is they’re not restoring the conversation history from that time at all.
Just “sorry, it’s gone forever.”
This means it was likely worse than we can see, and they’re deleting everything from that timeframe to be safe.
I'm paying for Plus and ChatGPT is literally responding to someone else's prompts right now in my console. I'm asking questions about a block of code and it's answering, but it's not looking at my code - it's looking at someone else's

Prompts feel personal. It’s understandable why they’re taking this so seriously.
My friendship with ChatGPT is mine and mine alone.

Search through ad keywords. Dharmesh is the GOAT.
One thing I do all the time is lookup what pay-per-click keywords a company is buying. Gives me some sense of their market positioning.
So, I put the feature in ChatSpot.ai. Free to use -- no waitlist.
Here are keywords Figma is buying. Some surprises in there.
