It’s time to start calling ChatGPT by its real name: ChatGPT, M.D.

OpenAI's most advanced model passed another test.

Researchers put GPT-4 through the US medical licensing exam.

The results? It got the right answer more than 90% of the time. That’s better than some human doctors.

The researchers went even further.

They fed it information about a patient - physical exam results, hormone levels, and an ultrasound. GPT-4 correctly diagnosed a 1 in 100,000 medical condition the patient had.

Now, don’t expect to see ChatGPT in your physician’s office anytime soon. AI is incapable of taking the hippocratic oath, so it’s not a doctor. 

And GPT-4 is wrong, a lot of the time.

👀 Expedia wants AI to dethrone Google ads

Microsoft’s got company: Expedia also hopes AI will bring Google’s downfall.

Expedia CEO Peter Kern said Friday that “The travel world is governed by the funnel from Google, and all these potential ideas will potentially rebalance the market, which will be good,”.

What he means: every travel company has to advertise through Google. He doesn’t like that.

It seems like wishful thinking. It’s not clear what AI could do to advertising that would dethrone the king of search ads. But the uncertainty that AI brings could be the catalyst for that change.

Take OpenAI’s ChatGPT - Expedia already has a plugin available. And this week they released an AI chatbot on their mobile app. They're betting on the tech.

It’s just wild to see a huge customer of Google say the quiet part out loud. We hope it doesn’t make the sales meetings awkward.

🤯 Famous rapper’s studio is hiring for AI roles

The artists are latching on to AI.

Donald Glover (Atlanta, Swarm, Saturday Night Live) first made a name for himself as the rapper Childish Gambino. His creative projects won Emmys and Golden Globe awards.

Now, his studio is hiring for AI engineers and prompters.

His agency's website shows two new job postings: AI Prompt Animator and AI Prompt Engineer + Librarian.

The job descriptions are short and just as artsy.

AI Prompt Animator: Someone active in the AI animation space and would be a project leader of sorts

AI Prompt Engineer + Librarian: Someone who can construct our IT and organize it as well

This is the tip of the iceberg.

We’re going to see more companies and studios test the waters with AI. Prompt engineer is the new job title to come out of this wave of computing.
